I read a book today and the title of the book is Making a Cake. I like the cake. Especially I like shortcake the best, because I like daily cream. Which the cake do you like the best? I read a book today and the title of the book is Ice on the Earth. I take a class which is about environment. I learned about global warming. It relates ice, because ice is melt by global warming. In this book there were lots of surprises. The most surprising information is about is size of ice sheet. “The biggest ice sheet on Earth covers Antarctica. This ice sheet is bigger than 13 million square kilometers” (Nicolas, 2006, p.8) It is really big. I can’t image this real size. Can you image? I want to go there and I want to see them. If I watched it, I would move.

BR 2-14: Walking on the Moon

I read a book today and the title of the book is Walking on the Moon. Recently I read the comics about the space. This title of the book is “Utyukyoudai”. This book is really interesting and it got nominated for grand prize of comic 2009 and 2010. And that it won second prize for the second year in a row. I recommend these comics to you. That’s why I read this book.

In this book there were lots of surprises. The most surprising information is about the date. “On 20 July 1969, humans walked on the moon for the first time” (Nicolas, 2007, p.4). I know some people walked on the moon, but I didn’t know when they walked on the moon. They walked about 40 years ago. There was a great technique in U.S many decades ago. I can’t image them, so I wanted to watch these TV, but I’m not born though.

This book explains about space and three astronauts. I hanker for the space. Maybe most people hanker for the space because there are a lot of chances in the space. BR 2-14: HIP HOP

I read a book today and the title of the book is HIP HOP, because my friends dance and their genre is hip hop. And when Takuma festival was hold, a lot of people danced on the stage. Most people danced hip hop. It was cool. I am also interested in dancing, so I want to learn to dance. I often listen to hip hop music. It is up-tempo. I often touch hip-hop, so I read.


In this book there were lots of surprises. The most surprising information is about starting of hip hop. “Hip hop started in the Bronx in New York in the 1970s” (Carmel, 2007, p.6). I thought that hip hop started about a hundred year ago, but it is wrong. And I have been to New York, so I’m happy to know about it.


This book explains about hip hop. When I went to New York, I saw something which relate hip hop. For example, these are breaking dance on the street, Graffiti arts. Especially, graffiti arts are great. I have seen them in Japan, but it is better than Japanese one. I will talk about my favorite cell-phone. I have ever had three one. I like iPhone the best in three one. I talk about my four favorite points of iPhone. First of all, I can use it in the world. My favorite sports player

I’m going to tell you about my favorite sports player. There are lots of sports in Japan. I like Yuta Tabuse the best in the all sports player. He is a basketball player. Why I chose the basketball? Because when I read SLAM DUNK, I overdosed on playing basketball and then I watched his plays on TV. He plays in Japan now, but he has played in US and he is the first Japanese to play in the National Basketball Association. His features are quickness and skillful passing. Especially, I like his skillful passing. When I was playing basketball, I used to imitate his plays. Although I don’t have any talent, I want to be like him. I yearn for him.

I talk about my favorite foreign drama. Have you ever watched one? I think that a lot of people have watched at least once, because there are a lot of foreign dramas in DVD stores. My father and sister like to watch one. They always lent some DVDs. Although I used to watch, nowadays I couldn’t watch one, because I was busy. However it befalls that I watched their DVD some time ago and I overdosed on it. The title of DVD is “Desperate Housewives”. It is popular in US. Our restaurant

History

This restaurant’s owner is Spanish. He went to a university in Mexico and he worked at the Mexico and he worked at the Mexican restaurant. Then he met a woman who is owner’s daughter. He was interested in Mexican food and he was also interested in her. He graduated from university. He had to come back to Spain because he had to succeed parent’s working. But he decided that if he could get marry her, he would open own restaurant with her. One night, he proposed her. “Shall we open the new Mexican restaurant?” she said “Of course.” It was on July 7th. That’s why they opened the new restaurant in Spain. They named one “Felice”. Felice is happiness in Spain. They each met in the Mexican restaurant so they hope that many people get happiness there like us. There are many events in our restaurant every month so people of various generation. Please come to our restaurant.

Any way, if you want to get happiness, you should come. We will do the best hospitality for you. I want to have a good relationship with you. I want to come to my restaurant again and again. So I made a point card for me. If you come to my restaurant, you can get one point each time. If you get 10 point, you can order one kind of tacos for free. You think it is good serves, don’t you?

Prerogatives and Event

I will talk about some prerogatives. First, every Wednesday is ladies day. If you are a woman or if you think I’m a woman, we will give them 20% reduction off on the list prices. Maybe men envy women so we make a new rule for men. Men can order one drink for free not only you can order soft drink but also you can order alcohol. Which do you choose man or woman?
Second, do you want to cook in rainy day? I think many people say “No”. Because humidity makes them not to cook. When you feel like this, please come to my restaurant! Do you remember our point card? If you come to my restaurant in rainy day, you can get more one point. So it is twice. TWICE!!!
Finally, our restaurant opened on July 7th so we do a special event on the 7th of each month. Tacos drink and dessert set cost 7 dollars. It is so cheap so this day, many people come here. Please come to our restaurant. It is in Spain though.

And we will talk about some events. We hold some events at an appropriate time, for example, Halloween, New year, Valentine… Now Christmas is close, so we will plan to hold Christmas event. If you come to our restaurant, we will present for you. Its contents are secret. Just wait until you come here.

We investigated and presented about it in a Speaking class. Each group presented each country’s foods. In this presentation, we had to create imaginary restaurant.

Characteristic of Mexican Foods
Mexican foods are based on foods of native people who like the Mayas and the Azteca, and affected according to Spanish foods, because of Mexican history, which Mexico had been dominated by Spain during sixteenth century to nineteenth century. Mexican foods are well known that it is spicy. And, these foods use corns, beans, and many kinds of hot peppers. Its spicy tastes come from these ingredients. They are also tradition of Mexican foods. Mexican staple food is tortilla. Tortilla is a kind of Mexican, South American, and Central American traditional bread. It made from mashed corns. Tortilla is used by Tacos foods. It is like sandwich.

Our group’s restaurant is a Mexican restaurant and the name is Felice. I will introduce pizza menu and recipe of our restaurant.

●Jalapeno Pizza
Jalapeno is a Mexican red pepper so it’s very hot. We souse Jalapeno in vinegar and put it on the pizza. And we put shrimps on the pizza. Although shrimp is less expensive than fish, taste was so good. If you like spicy food, you like this pizza.

●Quesadilla
Quesadilla is a kind of Mexican fast food. the main ingredients are cheese, corn and wheat. And we wrap various meat or vegetables with it. This restaurant recommend you will wrap vegetables of seasons.

●Cactus Pizza
Do you know we can eat cactus? Mexico is famous for cactus. Mexican often eat it. Mexican especially eats with pizza. The sauce is tomato sauce. Tomato souse goes with cactus.

●Quesadilla
Ingredients

・uncured ham 1 sheet
・cheese 1/2 cup

1. Put the spread cheese on the tortilla
2. Put uncured ham on it and sand with other tortilla

・oil 1 cup
・vegetable suitable
・bacon 3 sheets
・onion 1/2

3. put them together and set dough
4. stir-fry onion and make sauce seasoned with ketchup

Essay 2-03a: My busy life

I have gone to the university for two years. I took some classes and I have a lot of friends and seniors at university. I really enjoy my university life with them. I did a lot of things that I want to do in the university. I will talk about my university life now.


First of all, I will talk about English classes. Now I am taking four English classes. These are speaking, writing, reading and listening. I like speaking class the best in these classes, because I want to talk to someone, but in this speaking class, although I talk to someone, I don’t talk much. I think I tend to do a presentation more than talking to someone in this class. I think what do the presentation is good for me, because when I enter the world of work; this ability is needed for sure. And I do it with group, so I can get friendly more. Anyway other classes are also useful. Although I have never written on the blog, I could become habitual by writing class. And I sometimes read the English-language newspaper by reading class. These English classes make me like English more and improve my English skill.


Second, I will talk about friends and seniors at university. When I have a free time, I do something with my friends. Maybe we talk or do assignments. If I don’t have any friend, I wouldn’t go to the university, so Friends are important for me. I want to treasure them. And there are some seniors who have been abroad in university, so I often listen to their stories, because it makes me whip up. I went to abroad, but they affected me. When I have trouble, I often consult with them because they are reliable. And I could make many exchange students. I’m studying English, so to talk to them is very good experience. If I didn’t enter this department, I couldn’t know them. However we have only about two years, so I want to make many good memories with them in short time.


Thirdly, I will talk about vacation. In this university, vacation is very long, so I can do something that I want to do. I went to Canada and New York by using vacation, because senior affected me and I have some friends who knew in university. I stayed in there about for a month. I could make a lot of friends and I pick up the habit of speaking English. However all wasn’t altogether good for me. I have almost started to cry. But this experience was really good. I think my skills improved a little. That’s why I used vacation.

As you can see, I had good experiences in university. There are many opportunities in university. But I am sometimes absent from university, so I want to treasure classes from now. I want to study English more. And I want to have a good memory with my friends. It is up to me whether I want to take advantage of the opportunity or not.

I read a book today and the title of the book is Energy IN SPORT, because I have played tennis for six years and I like sports, but this book didn’t write about tennis. And I was interested in energy in sports, so I thought if I read this book, I could use the energy in sports.

I was good at running the long distance, because I was the fastest in the club in a marathon. I read a book today and the title of the book is Banks AND Banking, because nowadays I made my account, so I used it. I always use ATM. And I have been to the bank to change money and then I didn’t go. I hardly use the bank, so I was interested in this book. I read a book today and the title of the book is Skateboarding. Because I saw that my friends ride on a skateboarding and I often see some people who ride on them in Karashima Park. However I never ride on it, so I was interested in this book.

I read a book today and the title of the book is National Park. I have been to some zoos, but I have never been to the national park. I always watch it on TV, so I was interested in this book.

In this book there were lots of surprises. The most surprising information is about Uluru. “Uluru is the biggest rock in the world and is more than 60 million years old” (Alan, 2007, p.8). I know this one, because I have watched it on TV and TV drama, but I didn’t know it is the biggest in the world and it has been for a long time. I really think that I wanted to go to Uluru-kata Tjuta National Park to see it.

However we break these environments, because we are cutting a lot of trees to live and polluting, so lots of animals and plants become extinct. We must consider about them. I read a book today and the title of the book is Water World. Because we can’t live without water, so I wanted to know anew about water. And this book jacket was a waterfall. I have never seen them, so I was interested in this book jacket, but this book didn’t write about the waterfall.

In this book there were lots of surprises. The most surprising information is that how much water is needed to make different thing. “A bike needs 130 litres. A jumper needs 100 litres. A newspaper needs 9 litres. A small chocolate bar needs 1 litre” (Alan, 2007, p.17). I know that some clothes needs some water to make it, but I didn’t know that this things need water. In addition, bikes need 130 litres. It’s unbelievable.

Fukuoka

I went to Fukuoka with Komu-san, Yuji-san, Yuhei-san and Haruna-san because of job festival. I have been to Fukuoka once, so it is second time around. Komu-san and Haruna-san had to go, but they couldn’t book the bus, so Komu-san asked Yuhei-san to take us Fukuoka by his car. And she invited me and Yuji-san, so we went to Fukuoka. We drove on a freeway. His car didn’t have ETC, so it was expensive. While Haruna-san and Komu-san went to job festival, three guys went to Marinoa city. There are many clothing stores in Marinoa, so we looked for good clothes, but we couldn’t find. We showed around about 3 hours, so we were so tired. As we were hungry, we went to Saizeriya. I thought its memu less than joyful. I missed joyful, because it is cheap and more delicious than Saizeriya. After that we lifted Komu-san. And we went home, but the freeway was expensive, so we used public highway. It took 4 hours to go home, so it was so tired. Yuhei-san. Thank you for driving. Although we were so tired, we could make a good memory. I want to make a lot of memories with them.

I read a book today and the title of the book is SPORTS CLOTHES. Because I have played tennis for six years and I like sports, so I was interested in it.

In this book there were lots of surprises. The most surprising information is about swimming cloth. “When people went swimming 100 years ago, their clothes were made from wool or cotton” (Camel, 2007, p.7). If someone went swimming and wear clothes which are made from cotton or wool, they would feel heavy. I think clothes were developed.

This book gave me some knowledge. I have hardly thought about sports clothes, so I could learn about them. More and more clothes are developing. I think good sports clothes will be made from now. If you have played some sports or were interested in, please read it.

Place to recommend

I recommend Pork Bird. It is a restaurant. I recommend three menus. First, I recommend shabushabu course. It is about 3000 yen per person. If you order it, you can eat appetizer, shabushabu, rice which has free refills, one drink and desert. Shabushabu is so good. Secondly, I recommend cast-iron pan course. It is 3500 yen per person. It is almost same shabushabu course. You can cook the meats which are chicken and pork on the cast-iron. Finally, I recommend fried chicken in Japanese sweet and peppery vegetable sauce. It is 1500 yen and it is sweet and crisp. This restaurant’s service is so good. And there are some separate rooms and floor heating in this restaurant. Mood is also good. This restaurant is near youme town Hamasen and along Hamasen bypass. If you come near, you should go.
I interviewed Asaki. She recommended Niginigi bakery. It is a bakery and café. Bread is from 200 to 350 yen. Drink is from 300 to 600 yen. Ice cream is from 200 to 400 yen. This café is quiet, good atmosphere and foods are delicious. This café is in the Sheraton hotel. It is in Miyazaki.
I listened to about Azusa from Aoi. Her recommend place is Food. It is a restaurant. Pasta is about 800 yen. Ebichiri is 790 yen. Cocktail is about 500 yen. There are much kind of cocktails in this restaurant. Price is a little high, but food is very good. It is by Keyaki Street and near Lawson.

I talk about my favorite city which I have ever been to. My favorite city is New York. Last spring vacation, I went to New York with my friend. We stayed in there for a week. New York is so big. First, everything is big. For example, buildings, people and foods are big. When we go somewhere, we were surprised at them. Secondly, there are many clothing shops. As we wanted to buy many clothes, it was a good point. Thirdly, night view was so beautiful. We went to the Empire State Building which is the tallest in the New York. English weekend party

On November 2, English weekend party was hold. Stuffs of English weekend joined. I was looking forward to joining. We went to Kuronekoyama. I have been there once. Its foods were good, but then my cheek swelled a lot, so I couldn’t eat much. Anyway, Yuhei-san’s birthday was close. We planed a surprise birthday party for him, so we bought a cake to celebrate him, but Uno-san made a mistake. She sent a message which is about secret birthday plan to us and Yuhei-san, so he already knew. Although he already knew, he was surprised. I thought he is loved by everyone, so I envy him. I thought I want to be like him. He said us “thanks”. His word made us happy. After that we went to Jeff’s bar, but Jeff wasn’t. We were in there for 30 minutes. Some people went to home, and other people went to Yuji-san’s house. I also went to his house. Finally, four people went. Before we had arrived there, we bought some beers. Although we drank in Kuronekoyama, we also drank in his room. I drank so much. I always wrote “I drank so much.”, but it is true. Recently, I often drink, so my stomach is bad. Please help me. I try to cut back on.

Nabe party

I was invited to join Nabe party by Yoshi-san who is my senior at university. Of course, I joined it. It was done in Yoshi-san’s room. Six people joined, including Yoshi-san. Surprisingly, they all were 4 grades, so I was the youngest in this group. I thought I’m a happy man, because I have many friends who invite me something. We ate kimchi nabe. There were many foods, but it was less for six men. Its tastes were so good. I wanted to eat more. After that we drank. Do you know Kings Cup? It is card game to drink. I didn’t know, so Yoshi-san taught me how to play. It was hard. I was drunk too much, so I slept soon. I forget this rule, but if you are interested in it, you try to search, but you shouldn’t play. When I got up, some people went back to home, because they had a part time job. I got up at 4:00 am, but other three awoke yet and new person was in room. He is also a senior. I talked with them about our future and something. They already have dreams, so I worried, but their stories were good for me. I want to decide my dream as soon as possible. We slept at 6:00 am, but I had an exam from this morning, so I hardly slept. Although I took it, my condition was so bad. I was so sleepy, but this is memory for me. I had a good time.

I’ll talk about Takuma festival final day. I was very sleepy, because I had gone to bed at 4:00 a.m. yesterday and I had got up about 7 clocks. As I drunk with member of Djambe, I hardly slept. This day, my friends danced on the happy stage. First, Taku and Aoi danced. Its genre was jazz and hip-hop. It was so beautiful. Next, Kazuma danced. Its genre was hip-hop. I have watched his dance once, but no matter how many times I think his dance was cool. I want him to teach me how to dance. The first, Komu-san danced. She is my senior at university. I don’t know which genre she danced, but her dance was also good. After this event finished, we went to the ground to splash beer on each other. Have you ever splashed beer on each other? It was so fun, but I felt cold. As we got the highest award, we got moving. After that we went to downtown to drink. I drank so much because everyone let me drink, so I was a drunken. I slept most of second party. Although I paid 2000 yen for second party, I hardly drank, so I lost money, but main party was so good. I made good memories with member of club. By the way, do you know Hero-umi? We drank there. Their mood and food were so good. I also like the stuffs, because they had a lot of energy. I thought I want to work at such a shop. It costs about 4000 yen. It is expensive for me. Maybe you think it is expensive, but you should go there once. I’m sure that you take a fancy.

I’ll talk about Takuma festival on the second day. I played Djambe on the happy stage. I have practiced for two month with my seniors at university. One of them invited me to join it. At first, I couldn’t make up my mind, because it cost some money and I was busy because of my part time job. When I refused it, my friends said “you should make many memories with them. They are four grades, so you can’t do it forever.” When I heard, I decided to join it. After that, I practiced as much as possible. Although we had some rehearsals, we were so nervous in front of audience. I always thought that can I do it? There were many people in front of stage and some my friends came to watch. As show started, I settled down. We had a solo, so when I played a solo, I was nervous, but I thought I could fell successful. It was so fun. I want to play again. Kumamoto university students and Souzyou university students helped us. Their performances were so good. After our show finished, we went to Kumamoto university, because they was going to played it there after our show helped. Their show was so cool and good. They looked fun. After that, I watched a dance show. I had free time and I was interested in dance, so I watched. It was great. I wanted to dance. Maybe I will go to a dance school. Please teach me dance. After it finished, we went to the bar. We drank with them. I had too alcohols, so I gave them a hard. I’m so sorry. Anyway I had a treasure time with them. Reading class

I take reading class. We must make News Quiz. It is that we read English newspaper and make 10 quizzes from them. It takes a long times to make it, so it is so tired, but I think it does a lot of good, because I can know on top of current news and events and it is useful for my future. Also to read English newspaper can improve my reading skills. At first I can’t understand meaning of headlines, because it often cuts the verbs which are is, are, were, and was and so on, so I don’t find verb and can’t understand, but while we took reading class, we learn how to read English newspaper, so I can read more than I used to be. And I like Mr. Kamimoto. He is so funny, because he often cracks some jokes. Sometimes it is not good. haha But I like his character.
Anyway, just now I finished news quiz, so I’m happy. Today’s weather is good. I want to go somewhere with my friends. Someone invites me to hang out.

I met a friend from high school for the first time in three month yesterday. He is a prefectural university of Kumamoto student, so he knew Mr.Beaufait, because He also teached in there, so my friend know. We went to youme town in Hikarinomori. I haven't gone there for a long time. I heard that my favorite clothing shop was opened, so I was looking forward to going there. After we arrived at youme town, we went to the clothing shop. There are many clothes which are new arrival in the my favorite clothing shop, but I didn't find any clothes that I want. As we went around, we decided to eat dinner. We were chinless, so we could't decided soon. As result, we ate the pork cutlet. It was good. We talked there for two hour. I thought we were trouble for this food shop, but didn't care. We went to TSUTAYA to lent some DVD. I wanted to move. I lent some DVD, but I didn'tb their tittles. Although I watched them, I couldn't move, so please tell me some DVD which make me move.

I talked five people about job in the speaking class. Person 1 was Daisuke. He doesn’t know what his father does. He wants to do hospitality industry. Especially he wants to sell a car. If he could do any job, he wants to do bartender, because he likes drinking. He never wants to do a doctor, because he doesn’t like doctor and this work is so hard.
Person 2 was Nami. She wants to try an actress once, because it is a yearning job and looks fun. She wants to do a teacher, because she likes children and she takes some classes which need to be a teacher. She never wants to do a police, because it is so dangerous and she doesn’t want to die.
Person 3 was Chikako. Her father works in the bank of Kumamoto. And her mother is a housewife. She wants to try a singer once. She is not good at singing, but she wants to try once. Also she wants to be a wife, because she doesn’t work and when she wants to have a child while she is still young.
Person 4 was Asaki. Her father works in Daihatu of Miyazaki. If money were no problem, she wanted to be a traveler, because she wants to see many counties. She said If I was a traveler, I would go to Turkey firstly, because her father recommended that she goes to Turkey, but he have never gone there. I heard that and I was interested in. She wants to be a Japanese teacher, so she also takes some classes that need to be a Japanese teacher. She never wants to be a comedian, because she doesn’t want to do a penalty game. It looks hard.
Person 5 was Yuki. He wants to be a translator, so he studies English hard. If he could do any job, he would be a police, because he wants to drive a panda car.
The last I talk about myself. I want to be a tour conductor, because I like hospitality and traveling. If I could do any job, I would be a movie director, because I want many people to watch my movie and move. I want to tell something through the movie. I never want to a pilot, because I dislike high place and jet coaster. If I was a pilot, we must experience that kind of thing.

Takuma festival started from October 29 to 31. I’ll talk about first day. Did you come there? If you didn’t, you should go to next festival. There are many food stalls on the road of university. My club also sold food, which name is “Onigiritennpura”. We fried a rice ball in batter. It was good, so many people bought them. We luckily got the highest award. We were so happy to get it. By the way, do you know fried bread ice? Youth Hostel sold them. It is that ice-cream is in fried bread. Every year many people stand in line to buy them. It was so delicious. I recommend that you should eat it. And Shimizu Syota came to university. I was looking forward to going his live. My favorite his song is “One Last Kiss”. As he sang this song, I was so happy. He and his dance were so cool. I thought I want to be like him, because he can speak English well and also song and dance well. He is a perfect person. After this live finished, I went to Karaoke with seniors at university, because as we listened his song, we wanted to sing. We sang till mid night. They often use figurative expressions, so if I don’t look at the lyrics, I can’t understand, so I always see it. I will introduce members of RADWIMPS. Vocal is Noda Youziro. He also plays the guitar. My favorite TV show is variety show. Especially I like “Shabecuri007”. This program is that some guests come there and performers talk about guest and they make good mood by talking. Essay 2-02b: Memories of English

I have a lot of memories about English, so I want to talk about English. I have learned English since junior high school. Most Japanese students also have learned since junior high school. When I was a junior high school student, I didn’t like English, but now I like it. I will introduce how I did like English and what I got by learning English.


First, when I was a junior high school student, I wasn’t good at English. I didn’t like to study English, because English is difficult for me. I didn’t like English. Especially I dislike the reading, because I have a few vocabularies, so I couldn’t read. The tests were always low so I always got into a row by my parents. Learning English was bored for me.


When I was a high school student, I became interested in English, because my favorite teacher teaches English. When I took her first class, she said us “I want you to like English. If you dislike it, I want you to like even a little.” As I disliked it, I was interested in her remark. She often showed us foreign animations. It was fun. She contrived ways to teach us English to like English, so I like English, but I’m not good at.


When I was in junior high school, I hardly communicated with ALT and talked to foreign people till then. However I could communicate with ALT deeply in high school, because she gave me many opportunities to talk with ALT outside of classes. I could know pleasantness that I talked to foreign people by her. That’s why I decided to go to Anglo American department.


The last, I’ll talk about KGU. I’m learning English now in KGU. In KGU, it splits English into five articles. It is listening, reading, writing, speaking, grammar. It is so hard for me. But most teachers are native, so it is good for me. And I could meet some exchange students in KGU. They are my friends now. I always try to talk to them. When I talk with them, I often talk about our classes and the drinking plans. I learn English by doing so.

This spring vacation I went to Canada to learn English for a month. I had some troubles, which I couldn't get through to Canadian. So I broke down many times in Canada, but it was a good experience for me, because I could meet many people and my English skills improved by going Canada. As a result, I can communicate than I used to be. So I like English more. I want to go back to Canada, because I want to improve more. But I don’t have much money, so if I go somewhere, I will go to Philippines, because their cost is so cheap and I can learn English.


If I had to choose another language, I would choose Korean, because I have some Korean friends whom I met in Canada and this University, I want to talk with them in Korean and if I said some wrong things, they would point it, so my skills will improve easily.


As you can see, I could get many foreign friends. I want to communicate with foreign people more. So I need to learn English more. It is not only English. Learning language is not only communicated with someone, but also get some thing. It is very important. I think I will learn English for years to come.

English Weekend

Recently, I hardly write my blog. If there is someone who read my blog, I'm so sorry. I want to talk about English Weekend. Did you join it?? I was stuff, so I joined. First day, only stuffs stayed in the dorm which is in Nisigoushi. We had to ready for tomorrow and day after tomorrow, but as we finished it soon, we drunk. I was drunken by senior at university. I was a drunk. Maybe, I puke a few times. I was so tired, but it was so fun.
Second day, many students came to Nisigoshi. Maybe over 80 people came. We introduced ourselves. We ate BBQ. It was so good. And we did some activities. After that we ate dinner. It was tacos; Mr. tomei bought it for us in the Fukuoka. I hardly eat tacos. It was good. I was happy that many people said us "It was delicious". After that we drank again. I thought I'm going to drink much, but I couldn't, because we had to take care of someone who was a drunk. Many people were drunk, so it was so tired for us. I slept at 4:00 am. I was so sleepy.
The last day, we went to fruits picking near Kinpou Mountain. We picked Nashi and orange. It was so sweet and big, so I was full stomach. After we picked it, we went back to university. English Weekend was so fun. I had good time with stuffs. I decided to be a stuff of English Weekend next year. I want to make many memories with my friend through it. And I will write details.

Vacation

I will talk about my summer vacation. I went to Fukuoka with my seniors at university and Taku on August first. As my friends who is exchange student had to go back her country, we went to Fukuoka to see off her. We went there by car. It took two hours to go there. She was happy to meet us. Although we parted with her but we keep touch in her still them. I had a good memory but I hardly studied this summer. Oh my god.
I interviewed Aoi. She went to a zoo with boyfriend on August 21. Monkey is her favorite animal, because they are so quirt. She learned English and human relation ships.
I also listen to about Chihiro from Aoi. She went to Osaka with club member from September 13 to 17. She also went to USJ. It was first time for her. She had a good time. She studied Chinese this summer. She took Chinese class spring semester, so she studied. She study hard.

I have learned English since junior high school. Most Japanese students also have learned since junior high school. Do you like English? When I was a junior high school student, I didn’t like English, but now I like it. I will introduce how I did like English and what I got by learning English.


First, when I was a junior high school student, I wasn’t good at English and I didn’t like to study English. Because English is difficult for me. I didn’t like English. Especially I dislike reading, because I have a few vocabularies, so I couldn’t read. Test was always low so I always got into a row by my parents. Learning English was bored for me.


Secondly when I was a high school student, I was interested in English. Because my favorite teacher teaches English. When I took her first class, she said us “I want you to like English. If you dislike it, I want you to like even a little.” As I disliked it, I was interested in her remark. She often showed us the foreign animations. It was fun. She contrived ways to teach English for we like English, so I like English, but I’m not good at. And I could communicate with ALT deeply in high school, because she gave me many opportunities to talk with ALT outside of classes. When I was in junior high school, I hardly communicated with ALT and talked to foreign people till then. I could know pleasantness that I talked to foreign people by her. That’s why I decided to go to Anglo American department.



The last, I’ll talk about KGU. I’m learning English now in KGU. In KGU, it splits English into five articles. It is listening, reading, writing, speaking, grammar. It is so hard for me. But most teachers are native, so it is good for me. And I could meet some exchange students in KGU. They are my friends now. I always try to talk to them. I learn English by doing so. This spring vacation I went to Canada to learn English for a month. I had some troubles, but it was a good experience. Because I could meet many people and my English skills improved by going Canada. As a result, I can communicate than I used to be. So I like English more.



As you can see, I could get many friends who are foreign people. I want to communicate with foreign people more. So I need to learn English more. It is not only English. Learning language is not only communicated with someone, but also get some thing. It is very important. I think I will learn English for years to come.

Essay 2-01b: Fancy Cafeteria

My favorite place is bakery in KGU, because I often go there. There is EVERYONE near my university, but it is very narrow, so I often go the bakery. Although I don’t go there everyday, I go there three times a week. When I go to the bakery, I stay about an hour and a half, so it’s as long as a class. When I’m in there, I can relax. I think people who go to KGU have been to the bakery. There are many people go there everyday. Many people like it.

First, it is comfortable for me. Always I can listen to Japanese music in there. This music is new, so I can know the latest music. And I can use iPhone. There is wireless LAN, so I can use internet for free. Also it is so cool. It’s air-conditioned, so it makes me relax.

Secondly, I like its designs. It is glass walled. When I see inside from outside, I can look for my friends, and when I see outside from inside, I also can look for. When I was in there in winter, I saw snow scene. It was so beautiful. I can see such a scene. And there are many fancy interiors in the bakery. For example, Tables, chairs and also walls, I like them. Its size also is the best for me, but when I can’t sit, I think it’s narrow.

Thirdly, I can do some activities. I can talk with my friends. It is calmer than school cafeteria, so I can speak in a relaxing tone. And I can study. If I want to study with someone, we can study with talking. Also I often wait for my friends in there, because it situate nearer school cafeteria than in relation to classroom, so if my friends are a little late, we could go to class on time. In addition to I do people watching. I think people who come to the bakery are gallant. I’m not comfortable with my sense of fashion, so I often learn fashion from them by watching people.

The last, I like bread in the bakery. Especially, I like “Meronpan”. It is crisp and delicious, so I like. And we can eat the bread hot from the oven, so we can eat more delicious than usually. Also we can takeout it and eat for there, so if I’m short on time, I can take it somewhere. Besides we can eat ice-cream in there. Many people eat it. I always eat same bread, so I hardly eat another breads, so I want to try to eat them.

As you can see, the bakery makes me feel comfortable. It is fancy. And we can do some activities in there, so if I’m in there alone, I will not be bored. Also bread is good. I think we have good time in my favorite place. Everyone thinks that this essay is so easy to read. I think so, because I used only easy words.

Shopping

I went to shopping with Takuya yesterday. We went to Uki. It took half an hour to go there by car. I drove the car. It's so far. I respect people who go to the university from Uki. We went nine blocks. Do you know?? it's my favorite shop, but I have been there only three times, because it's so far. I bought many clothes, I never thought I bought many. I think I have some stresses, so I bought it, so I feel good now. Shopping is a great relief for stress. I had a good time with Takuya. Anyway, Takuya bought jacket. It looks nice.

Hi, nice to talk to you. I’m Alex. I’m from Germany. My job is a writer. Some people asked me” what do you write??” My hobby is travelling, so I write about travelling. I’ve been to many countries. For example, France, Spain, Italy, Russia, US, Canada Japan and so on. To travel many countries is be able to learn about the culture of many countries. I can learn some thing in there, so I can write it and some people who never go abroad read it. I have the wife. I met her in Japan. When I was in need in Japan, she helped me, so I fall in love with her. When I was 28 years old, I got married with her. She is Japanese, but she lives in Germany now. She is a full-time housewife. Dinner

Yesterday, I ate dinner with my family and my cousin. I hardly eat dinner with my family, because my father works at midnight and my brother works in Osaka, but father had a holiday and brother came back to Kumamoto, so I ate dinner with them after such a long time. It was so good. My cousin also came back to Kumamoto, so he also joined it. I talked with him. He had a lot of stories about going abroad, because he has gone abroad. I listen to his stories. As we have gone abroad, we agreed with each other. I wanted to go abroad again in course of the conversation. I consulted with him about going abroad, because I decided that I will go to Philippines. Recently, my acquaintance who works in Tour Company of oversea recommended that I should go to Philippines. First, I thought why I should go there?? But I was interested in going there in course of listening to his story, so I consulted with him about it. He gave me some advice, but he exacting for me. I think I was very optimistic, so his opinion made me earnest more. What I should do now is saving money. If I can’t save money, I would take a leave of absence from school. I will do the best.

I have two classes today, but first class was canceled. I was relieved, because I was a few minutes late. Hehe
Just now, I finished today's class, but I'm free now, because I have part time job from 1:00 to 6:00. After that I will meet my cousin. I haven't met him for a long time, because he lived in Shizuoka now and he have stayed in China for a year, so I'm looking forward to meeting him and listening to his stories today.

Hello everyone. How have you been?? I’m good, but I blew off writing the blog, so I’m worried about what I can write 15000 words on my blog by this semester finish. I think I can’t, but I must do it, so I will do the best.
Anyway, my university started today, I had class today, so I went to KGU. I haven’t met my friends for a long time, so I was happy to meet them and talk with them. I had two classes on Tuesday, but second period was canceled. I didn’t know about it, so I went there before it starts, but nothing has worked. Many people who take it didn’t know, so I was talking with them during second period. Hehe.
I didn’t write about this summer, so I will write about it in the days ahead. I want my friends to know me more. Now is midnight, so I must sleep, because I take first period on Wednesday. It is writing class, so I can’t wake up late. Hehe

My favorite high school memory

My favorite high school memory is culture festival. When I was 2 grades and 3 grades in the high school, I did Manzai in front of the whole school on the culture festival. I came under strain before I did Manzai, but when I start doing it and I heard audience’s laughing, I could settle down. As we practiced it many times, we didn’t fall down. I was so delightful to achieve a thing. After that many people come in front of me to say “it was so good”. When I was said by them, I was so happy and I thought it was good experience. I gained a lot of experience, but it is the most experience in the high school.

My favorite vacation memory

My favorite vacation memory is spring vacation, because I stayed in Canada. I went to Canada with my friend. We stayed there for a month. Do you know Halifax?? I went there. It is the location for the film of Hanamizuki. It is countrified, but I like there because people who live in Halifax are very kind and it makes me relax. I went to　language school for a month, it’s name is KGIC. When we went there, it just opened, so there are few people in KGIC, but I could make a lot of friends and improve my English skill better than I was in Japan. I could meet many people in Canada, I think it is important to meet new people and talk to them, so I had a grate time in Canada.

My favorite class is speaking class. First of all, I like talking, but I can speak English a little, so I don’t talk with exchange students well. I want to talk with them more. Speaking class students must use English, so I can practice to talk to someone. Next Mr. Tomei gives us an assignment. It is group homework. As He makes some group, we must do it with group. We do it together, so we can get friendly. I think he gives us chance to socialize with them. We must set homework out in front of classmate, so not only our speaking skill improves, but also presentation technique improves. Speaking class is to my great profit, so it is my favorite class.

My favorite travel is staying in New York. I went to New York last spring vacation with my friend after I went to Canada. We stayed at my friend’s place for a week. We went to many places. In particular, I like statue of Liberty. We heard from my friend that it is the tourists’ favorite place, so we went there about 9:00 am, but so many people were already lined up in front of the ship. They must ride out in the ship to statue of Liberty, so they were waiting for the ship. We also waited for two hours. I don’t like to wait for many times, so I felt anger, but we arrived there, I forgot my upset, because it was so beautiful.

My favorite movie star is Aoi Miyazaki, because I like her face and I was enchanted with her performance. She looks like young, but she already attains womanhood and got married. She is known by many people, but the TV program made her be known more. It is “Atuhime”. Do you know?? It is period drama, many people watched it, and so they were also enchanted with her performance. I think if another actress acts it, people wouldn’t watched it. I like her since I was high school students, but I didn’t know her then. When I watched the movie, I knew her and like. It is “Tadakimiwoaishiteru”. She was so cute. Tomorrow

Hello guys!! How are you?? I'm so tired, because I worked from 12:00 to 21:00. Today was Sunday, so many people came to my restaurant. It was very busy. I want to go to bed right now, but I must write on my blog, so I can't. lol
Anyway, tomorrow, I will go to Fukuoka with Taku and Kanasan, because I will see exchange students off. I'm looking forward to going there, but it is really really sad. I don't want them to go home. Anyway, dose your summer vacation start?? If it is so, do you have any vacation's plans?? My vacation started three days ago, but I don't have any plan. I'm looking for someone who hung out with me. If I can't find, maybe this summer also will be as busy as last summer by my part time job. Last summer, I had holiday only two days because of part time job. I wanted to go abroad, so I had to work. I also want to go abroad this year, but I want to hung out with my friends. This year, I want to strike a balance between part time job and friends. Wedding

package tour of my country

Hi, I’m Kosei. I will talk about package tour of my country. It’s overnight.
Day 1, I will take you the waterfall. It is as big as Niagara Falls. Although the fall is far from downtown, about five hundred thousand tourists visit there from around the world every year, so it is one of beauty spot in my country.
After that, I will take you building at night. It is the tallest in the world. It is the 203-story building and 943 meter high. It stands at the center of the downtown. You can look down at a city from the top of the building and it provides a 360-degree view. It’s so beautiful. Although you have to pay some money, you are worth paying money in it. Day 1 finish, but if you want to enjoy more, you can eat many foods in the hotel, so you can enjoy there.
Day 2, I will take you downtown. There are many departs, souvenirs shops and foods shops. You can walk around in there. My country is cheap price, so you can buy many things.
If you come to country, I’m sure you have good time.

Speaking

Now, it is 8 o’clock. Mr.Bean is sleeping now. He had the alarm set to wake him up at 8 so, it is going off but he doesn’t wake up. He thinks that it is so noisy so he puts the alarm into a glass of water. He had another alarm which is the tea maker, set up to blow steam on foot through the tube. He blocks it on his toe. Time passes and now it is 8:53 AM. Finally he wakes up but he is still only half awake. So he sleepswalks and he crashes into the wall, waking himself up. He puts on his slippers for the time being. He is wide awake, he opens the curtain, does his morning exercise and shaves his face. He tries to trim his nose hairs but it is too long so they become entangled in the razor. He cuts himself free with a pair of scissors. He opens the closet. He takes out his jacket and schedule in the closet and hangs schedule on the peg. He puts the jacket on the bed and hangs out the wet alarm on the line to dry. Then he realizes he had an appointment at the dentist by 9:00. But now almost 9 o’clock. He panics about being late. He must go out right now. He grabs his clothes on the chest and goes out. But he tiptoes back into his room so he can tuck his teddy bear into bed.

He makes a rush for the car, opens the door, but before he gets in, he takes a brick and gets in the car. After that he peels out and knocks down a trash can. He is changing the clothes as he drives. First, he changes into shirt and does up the buttons on his sleeves, but he doesn’t look straight ahead, so he almost runs off the road. Next, he tries to change into his pants. He uses the brick to on the gas pedal instead of his foot. He takes off his pajamas and moves into the back seat. He pulls on his pants. He can’t use his hands because he is putting on his pants so he drives with his feet instead of his hands. After he puts it on his pants, he puts on his jacket and then he gets on his socks. While he puts those on, he beeps the car horn. As he finishes getting his socks on, he goes back to the front seat. And ties his tie but he must get into his shoes so he goes around a round-about many times. As he can use his foot so he removes the brick from the gas pedal. He starts driving again. But he must brush his teeth so he holds the handle in his mouth, he clutches the brush his right hand and the toothpaste in his left hand. But it is so shaky, so he drops the toothpaste on the dashboard, so he wipes up it with the tooth brush. He is brushing the teeth as he drives. After he finishes brushing, he tries to rinse mouth but there is no water in the car so he uses the wiper water out of necessity. As he finishes rinses mouth so he spits it out. But he gets it on the lower back of a road worker. The road worker is misled into thinking that it is bird droppings. As he arrives at dentist, he tries to park but there is already a car. He wants to park there in the worst way. He moves that car with his car and park his car in the parking space. He gets out of the car and checks the meter. He meets a meter maid who looks at his pants. He notices that his pajama are sticking out of the trousers. He extracts them from the trousers and puts them in the car.

He enters the dentist office and sits in the dentist’s chair. The doctor’s assistant puts a bib on him. He is interested in the chair’s button. So while dentist turns around, he operates it as he likes it. Chair falls lower and lower. We can’t see him. Next he pushes the bottom of up. Just as the dentist turns around, he backs to the regular position. The dentist is coming back as he drinks. He hangs the x-ray on the mount. He turns on the light. He picks up the suction tube and dries Mr.bean’s mouth. The dentist puts it on the table and checks his cavity. After that he is preparing something so he is turning around again and Mr.Bean is interested in the suction tube. He takes up it and began to play with it. First he attaches it to his face, then to his tongue where it gets stuck and then uses it to clean his clothes. What is worse, he then sucks up the dentist’s tea. When the dentist turns around, he realizes that his tea is lost so he asks the assistant for another one. The dentist brings a syringe gives Mr.Bean and anesthetic injection. The doctor leaves and Mr Bean is interested in syringe too. When he has it, the dentist comes back, so Mr.Bean conceals it but dentist doesn’t notice. When dentist touches Mr.Bean’s cavity, Mr Bean winces and then gives the dentist’s leg an anesthetic injection. The doctor’s leg goes numb and he resists but falls down and knocks himself out. As the dentist is unconsciousness, Mr Bean tries to do fill his cavity himself. He looks at the x-ray to confirm his cavity’s position. He touches his teeth to count. He picks up the drill. First he confirms strength of the drill and it is so strong and he drills out his cavity. After that he puts a filling in the cavity. He thinks he is finished but this x-ray can be reversed. So he realizes that he made a mistake so he treats the other side. He also counts, drills out tooth and puts the filing. He thinks he is finished but then realizes that the x-ray can be turned upside down. He can’t find his cavity. So he drills out all his front teeth and puts in the fillings. But he puts so many filling he can’t open his mouth. Also he uses the some tools but he still cannot open his mouth. Then he can open the mouth because of the dentist surprises him by getting up behind him, surprising him so Mr.Bean can open the mouth. And he goes to his home.
