BR 2-11: SURVIVING a Tsunami

I read a book today and the title of the book is SURVIVING a Tsunami, because Kumamoto Prefecture has access to the sea. If earthquake hit near Kumamoto, Tsunami might hit Kumamoto, so I worried about it when I watched this book. And I wanted to know how big does tsunami do harm.

In this book there were lots of surprises. The most surprising information is about tsunami. “A tsunami is a number of giant waves that are set off by an earthquake” (Nicolas, 2007, p.6). I thought that tsunami is a giant wave and it is just one wave, but it was wrong. Tsunami is more dangerous than I thought.

This book explains the tsunami in Indonesia in December 2004. I didn’t know that the tsunami hit in Indonesia 6 years ago. It broke a lot of building and killed many people. It is so dangerous. We know that the tsunami is so dangerous, but we don’t know what to do. We have to know about the tsunami more. There have been a lot of big earthquakes in Japan. It might happen again, so we have to ready the tsunami. If you are interested in this book, please read. You can know the scare of the tsunami.
