BR 2-04: Skateboarding

I read a book today and the title of the book is Skateboarding. Because I saw that my friends ride on a skateboarding and I often see some people who ride on them in Karashima Park. However I never ride on it, so I was interested in this book.

In this book there were lots of surprises. The most surprising information is about parks. “A lot of parks have made special places for skateboarding” (Carmel, 2006, p.7) I have never seen the park which has made special places for skateboarding in Japan. It may be that there are some parks for skateboarding in Japan, but I never seen. I think skateboarding doesn’t catch on in Japan. I’m not sure though. However there are lots of such parks in the world, it is caught on in the world.

This book explains about how to ride and histories about the skateboarding. I wondered if some people who ride on skateboarding don’t get scared. It is dangerous for me to ride, so I don’t want to ride, so I respect some people who can ride. If you are interested in this book, please read it. If you ride on, take care.
